For young people in South Florida, and for the parents, coaches, and teachers who stand behind them. This page states plainly who we can help, what it costs, how we keep a child safe, and what happens after you write to us.
Who we can help
Where we serve today, and where this is built to go.
The Institute identifies extraordinary young people who face barriers to opportunity.
How we find them
Through coaches, teachers, families, and community members who already know them. Talent is universal. The people who notice it are usually already nearby.
Right now
South Florida, starting with football.
We start with football because that is where the relationships were made, and because the model we are scaling was proven there over thirty years by one man who never stopped answering the phone.
Our first cohort is founding in 2026.
Where this is headed
Built to expand — not there yet.
The model is designed to expand across other sports, the arts, education, and entrepreneurship. Anywhere extraordinary potential meets limited opportunity, this works. Football is simply where we know it works already.
We are not yet able to serve every sport, school, or city. If that is not yet where your young person is, write to us anyway — every message reaches a person, not a queue.
This is not open enrolment. We are founding our first cohort, and we fund every commitment before we make it.
We never make a commitment we are not prepared to keep.
We never admit a Future Leader unless the Board has determined we can honour our commitment through high school. The full multi-year cost is set aside before an offer is made, in a restricted fund that cannot be spent on anything else.
This means we will sometimes decline to admit a young person we could serve, in a year when we have the will but not the funded capacity. That decision is difficult every single time. It is also the reason this Institute will still be here in thirty years.
What this costs your family
Nothing.
Removing barriers is the point. A family should never encounter a cost as a condition of participating.

The Institute funds every commitment before it makes one. A family is never billed for any part of it.
Opportunity Grants
The Institute may provide grants of up to $2,500 annually to help remove participation barriers, subject to Board-approved policies and available funding.
What a Future Leader receives
Help looks like specific things, on specific days.
- A ride to practice when there is no ride.
- A tutor before the exam that decides a scholarship.
- Meals in the weeks a family is stretched.
- Equipment that fits.
- A therapist when one is needed.
- An internship the summer before senior year.
- A campus visit four hours away.
- An introduction to someone who can open a door.
And a mentor who is still there when they are thirty.
Your child enters a lifelong network of coaches, mentors, educators, and professionals who commit to opening doors for them. We remove the practical barriers that stand in the way, and we stay involved long after any particular season ends.
Safety
How we keep your child safe.
Every adult is background screened and trained before any contact with young people. Activities happen with at least two screened adults present or in open, observable settings. All communication with your child happens on channels that include you. No adult here will ever ask your child to keep something from you.
Every adult with direct contact with young people completes background screening and training before that contact begins, and annually thereafter.
What we expect from mentors
Consistency, honesty, high expectations, and strict observance of every boundary in our protection framework. A mentor who breaks one of those rules is removed from contact with young people immediately.
How we communicate
We contact you by phone, text, and email about your child's participation and about anything affecting their wellbeing. We would rather over-inform you than leave you guessing.
Transportation and photography
Both require your written consent, and both are optional. Declining either will never affect your child's participation in any way. You may change your choice at any time by writing to us.
Confidentiality
What you tell us about your family stays with the people who need it in order to help. The single exception is a concern about a child's safety, which is always reported to the authorities.
Mandatory reporting
Every adult at this Institute is personally required by Florida law to report suspected abuse, neglect, or endangerment directly to the Florida Abuse Hotline at 1-800-96-ABUSE. Internal review never substitutes for, delays, or filters a legal report.
In an emergency
If a young person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for a reply here. You may also contact the Florida Abuse Hotline directly at any time.

You are not sending a message into silence.

You write to us
Tell us about the young person using the form below, or by writing to us directly.

We read it, personally
A member of the Institute reads every message and replies personally — usually within a few days.

We talk with the family
If it looks like it may be a fit, we talk with the young person's family to understand the whole situation.

We fund it before we offer it
The Board sets aside the full multi-year cost in a restricted fund before any offer is made — never after.

A Future Leader is welcomed
The young person you wrote about is welcomed as a Future Leader, and the relationship begins.
